Deaf Services is dedicated to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in Harrow. Here’s what we can do for you…..

We provide Information Sessions by appointment on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10am and noon.
If you need advice, phone calls made or help with writing letters we can help you at this time. We can also help you access services, where possible, through the internet and by text service.

If you want advice on equipment or would like to know what is available to make day to day life a little easier this is the service for you.

Deaf Drop in – 2nd Wednesday of each month 2pm – 4pm. A get together and chance to catch up with old friends and maybe make some new ones. Guest speakers are often invited.

BSL Class – This is a beginners class for those who are interested to learn BSL but don’t want to take an exam.

We now teach BSL in schools.

Hearing Aid Project – Hearing Aids -

Do you have a hearing aid?
Don’t really want to use it?
Not sure how to use it?
We can help!

If you are a Harrow resident, have an NHS hearing aid and would like to talk to somebody about how to use, keep it clean and change batteries or just to build your confidence……….

Harrow Association of Disabled people are offering a free Hearing Aid advice service. If you were given a hearing aid but haven’t worn it and think you might like to try we can help you.
We also have Deaf Awareness and Basic Hearing aid maintenance training courses available free to Professionals.

British Sign Language Interpreters & CSWs Lip Speakers & Note Takers -

At HAD we are lucky to have a list of dedicated Interpreters, CSW’s, Lip speakers and Note takers covering all levels, who share the same ideals and values.

Coffee mornings - BRITISH SIGNLANGUAGE USERS

Want to practice your Signing? This is a good way to meet new people from both Deaf and Hearing communities. Come along to our coffee morning on the Second Saturday of the month.

This is open to all—People learning to Sign, from the Deaf community, CSW, Interpreters.

First Floor
Food Court
Make sure that you buy your coffee before you sit down.
